This bill proposed by Valenzuela Representative Sherwin Gatchalian aims to curb the traffic congestion in the country. The Proof of Parking Space Act requires would-be-buyers of new vehicles to show-off proof of owning a parking space for the car that they supposed to buy.

The bill was created because many of car owners park their vehicles in the side streets making the passable lanes tight and congests the smaller streets.

According to Rep. Sherwin Gatchalian, the street is primarily intended for vehicular or foot traffic and should not be appropriated as personal parking spaces for these vehicles.

The Proof of Parking Space Act will be enforced by the LTO to require buyers to file an affidavit of free parking space as a requirement to registration.

In line with this, Rep. Gatchalian also proposed the Parking Fee Regulation Act to curb excessive parking fee charges by establishments.

This proposed law will be a big help for all the commuters, motorists and students because it will ease their worries regarding being not on time on their matters.
